Entertain & Sustain will provide De Drait Music Festival Drachten on the 28th of August 2010 with interactive sustainable entertainment. We will create an area, the Tower of Power, where the visitors, adults and children, can play, co-create and get into contact with sustainable energy sources like solar energy.We are happy to have the opportunity to work in the province that supported this project from its beginning in Leeuwarden in 2007, and are still thankful for the support received from the Brusplakken funding of the province of Fryslan. Without them many of our activities would not be possible.

Entertain & Sustain was present on behalf of Vodafone on Welcome to the Future, the alternative dance festival of ID&T.
Although the rain was pouring down, the atmosphere was good and people were dancing and enjoying themselves all day long. The Tower of Power area consisted out of the SolarDJ, 4 bikes of InternetCycling with especially for Vodafone a brand new mobile phone loading functionality, and workshops about creativity.
Especially the workshops proved to be interesting as people gave their opinions about how they see a future of mobile communication in a world where sustainability is becoming more and more important. Ideas ranged from solar panels on phones to big product-service-systems including yet to be build infrastructures.

Entertain & Sustain Tower of Power at Welcome to the Future Festival at 7 August 2010
The most adventurous dance music festival of the Netherlands takes place close to Amsterdam on Saturday the 7th of August. Welcome to the Future; and Entertain & Sustain will be present on behalf of the Vodafone Foundation. On the sustainable area you can play with the SolarDJ, learn about sustainability on the InternetCycles while loading your mobile phone and give your opinion on a sustainable future of mobile communication. Professional facilitators will be present to visualize your ideas which will be presented to the audience.
We will be there from 12 to 6pm so please drop by!

WorldFair Heerhugowaard 12th June 2010
The workshop SolarTorche s will be one of the attractions on the WorldFair in Heerhugowaard coming Saturday. Together with a lot of other activities by Globalicious, Entertain & Sustain will give attention to a sustainable future. We believe that learning about solar energy in a fun way will give sustainable energy sources a positive feel. And we need a positive approach!

Wet but fun at the 'Milieumarkt' in Amsterdam on the 30th of May 2010
Entertain & Sustain was present with two Tower of Power activities, the workshop SolarTorches and the SolarDJ , on the Milieumarkt in Amsterdam. Unfortunately it was raining a lot...but enthusiastic people conquered the showers and came to learn about the environment and sustainability. Over the course of the day the Entertain & Sustain crew provided sustainable entertainment with the SolarDJ proving that even in cloudy weather solar energy works. Tens of children worked together with the girls of Entertain & Sustain on the workshop SolarTorches and proudly took their torches home in the afternoon. Below some pictures of this event.
